spotlight for theater

Celebrate Local Culture at the Lone Tree Arts Center

If you live at Retreat at Park Meadows, you don’t have to travel far to experience the arts. Since 2008, the Lone Tree Arts Center has served as a venue for artistic performances, ranging from the theatrical to the musical. The official season starts in September, but their summer schedule is still full of entertainment. Check out these special performances coming up this summer.

Are you a fan of the TV series ‘Glee’? If so, you’ll recognize Chris Colfer, who is appearing in the “Douglas County Libraries Presents” series on July 22nd. He will be discussing his Land of Stories series, including “Land of Stories: An Author’s Odyssey”. Not only will you get to hear this Golden Globe winning actor discuss his experience as an author, you will also get the chance to meet him personally. A pre-signed copy of the book is included with your ticket.

See the local youth of the Colorado Dance Center present “Believe – A Tinkerbelle Tale”, a story presented through ballet, jazz, hip-hop and modern dance. It tells the story of Tinkerbell’s journey to find self-confidence. This performance will run on July 26th and 27th on the main stage.

July 29th brings the Mary Louise Lee Band to the Terrace Theater. This R&B/Soul Dance party features a mix of the most danceable r&b, soul, and top 40 hits. This is a fun outdoor event where you can enjoy great music, a beautiful summer night, and a great time with friends.

The Lone Tree Arts Center is just one of many fun and educational attractions in our community. Please contact us to learn more.
