Denver Art Museum

Located in the Civic Center, the Denver Art Museum is one of the largest such museums between the West Coast and Chicago. Founded in 1893 as the Denver Artists’ Club, its collection features more than seventy thousand works of art. The museum’s mission is to enrich the lives of present and future generations through the acquisition, presentation, and preservation of works of art. Some of what you will see includes ancient Puebloan ceramics, African jewelry, and Asian sculptures.

Molly Brown House Museum

Once home to American philanthropist, socialite, and activist Molly Brown, this museum is dedicated to telling her story through guided tours, exhibits, and educational programs. She was also known as “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” as she survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Approximately 45,000 visitors take the fascinating tour each year to learn about that fateful night and so much more.

Denver Firefighters Museum

Established in 1978, this museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s housed in former Fire Station No. 1 which was built in 1909, and it focuses on the history of firefighting in Denver. Guests of all ages can enjoy innovative hands-on activities and explore the collection that includes fire apparatus, uniforms, and communication consoles.
