Tour These Colorado Museums from the Comfort of Home

One of the best things about living in the Centennial state is its proximity to some of the most interesting and inspiring museums in the country. But, just because we’re spending more time at home is no reason to miss out on the amazing exhibitions and experiences these formidable institutions have to offer. Check out this quick list of Colorado museums offering virtual experiences, accessible from the comfort of our Retreat at Park Meadows apartments in Lone Tree.

History Colorado

Our first museum is really several museums — the History Colorado website actually contains content and tours from many different local institutions near our apartments in Lone Tree, including the Center for Colorado Women’s History and the Ute Indian Museum. Their Digital Experiences section delivers the best of these places, with such features as explorable virtual exhibits, podcasts, and blogs. A must for any Coloradans interested in learning more about their state’s story.

Denver Art Museum

Just north of our Lone Tree apartments, you’ll find the Denver Art Museum. You can peruse many of their gallery pieces and installations online. Also, you can explore their Museum From Home program. It highlights world art collections, video tours, and even fun downloads. Make sure you visit their Creative Community, too. It has interviews with artists, as well as resources for budding creators.

Denver Museum of Science & Nature

For more than a hundred and fifty years, the Denver Museum of Science & Nature has been working hard to educate and inspire the community, as well as cultivating a renewing interest in all things biology. Thanks to their Learn section, you can have access to lectures and webinars. You can even sit on staff lunches to hear fascinating (and often humorous) topical discussions. You’ll want to see their Archives Department, too, which offers an expansive searchable database.

With the excellent digital services offered by these museums, you can plan an entire day inside. Enjoy exploring some of the best culture, art, and science that our community has to offer. Also, make sure to bookmark our blog so you can keep in touch with upcoming events and local color.
