Denver is Home to a Thriving Performing Arts Scene

Downtown Denver is a short drive away, and the city is home to a thriving performing arts scene that rivals some of the biggest cities from coast to coast. Here are some of the best venues to visit to enjoy an amazing show!

Boettcher Concert Hall

Nestled in the heart of the Theater District, the Boettcher Concert Hall is the home of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. It’s the first concert hall in the United States to feature a round design, and more than eighty percent of the seats are within 65 feet of the stage.

This orchestra is also one of the best in the country! It boasts of being an incubator of innovation and excellence. There are more than 150 concerts per season with over 250,000 patrons attending annually.

Ellie Caulkins Opera House

The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is a renowned acoustical hall designed in the lyric style. It is one of three such venues in the United States, and it offers unparalleled technical support and clean sight lines.

The house draws some of the world’s top artists, and the acoustics make their performances an unforgettable part of the Denver performing arts scene.

Paramount Theatre

The Paramount Theatre has offered quality films and live entertainment since 1930. At the time, it surpassed the standards of the dozens of other theaters that lined the city’s streets, and today it is the only local theater of its era to maintain its original glamour.

The interior features an outstanding example of Zig Zag Art Deco design, and the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The theatre welcomes thousands of visitors every year who enjoy concerts, comedies, dramas, and much more.

These are just a few of the performing arts venues near The Retreat at Park Meadows. If you’re considering calling our community home, please contact us to arrange a showing. We would love to show you our amenities firsthand.
