The Depot Art Gallery is a Unique Destination to Explore

If you enjoy art and stepping back in time, then don’t miss visiting the Depot Art Gallery. Housed in a restored 1888 Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad train station, the gallery features works in nearly all mediums.

In fact, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, and many of the windows are original.

Here are just a few of the artists you’ll find while exploring Depot Art Gallery.

Pat Dall

After Pat Dall’s seven children were grown, she decided to pursue her passion for painting. Her extensive travels inspire many of her subjects, and she favors working in the five-step process of ink resist. She also offers oil paintings and studied this technique at Arapahoe Community College.

Nancy Meyer

After Nancy Meyer bought a 35mm camera in 1976, she realized she could capture and share the beauty around her. Photography increased her awareness of shape, color, and texture. Nancy’s work features beautiful floral pieces, and she states that in recent years, she now experiments with different digital manipulation techniques to give her work a fresh perspective.

Kate Wyman

Kate Wyman is mainly a self-taught artist who has lived in Colorado for most of her adult life. She grew up at the Jersey Shore where she developed a passion for painting lighthouses and seascapes. Kate is a member of the Colorado Watercolor Society, and both private and corporate collections feature her pieces across the country.

The Depot Art Gallery also offers oil painting classes on Mondays. They’re led by an award-winning artist, and the topic changes weekly. All skill levels are welcome, and students receive individual instruction and feedback.

The gallery is just one of the artistic venues near our apartments in Lone Tree. Please contact our leasing agents to arrange a tour. They’d love to show all we have to offer firsthand.
