If you’re looking for a fun night filled with music, you can enjoy a performance by the Colorado Symphony. As the region’s only full-time professional orchestra, the Colorado Symphony performs more than 150 annual concerts at Boettcher Concert Hall and across Colorado. Here are a few of the musicians who will entertain you near our Lone Tree apartments:
John Sipher
John Sipher has played with the Colorado Symphony since 2015. A Roanoke, Virginia native, he graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s in Music Education and later received a Master of Music in trombone from Yale. When John isn’t on stage, you might find him composing and arranging music for trombone ensembles.
Courtney Hershey Bress
Before joining the Colorado Symphony, Courtney Hershey Bress was a freelance harp player who performed around the world. She took to stages from Chicago to Singapore and everywhere in between. In 2005, Courtney was a Grammy nominee, and her storied career has also included playing with the Baltimore Symphony and U.S. Army Field Band.
Susan Cahill
A Chicago native, Susan Cahill performs with the Denver Symphony and as a soloist across the country. The Gazette once called her performance of Valentine “breathless,” and her compositions have been featured at Colorado College. Additionally, Susan is known for her teaching and was a faculty member at the Lamont School of Music between 2009 and 2015.
Peter Cooper
Called a “first-rate soloist” by BBC Music Magazine, Peter Cooper has been the symphony’s principal oboist since 1993. He has also played with the San Francisco Symphony and Hong Kong Philharmonic. When John isn’t entertaining audiences, he also holds master classes around the world.
