Explore the Mile-Long 16th Street Mall

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, head to the 16th Street Mall.

Located in nearby Denver, this mile-long destination is a pedestrian-friendly mall that is home to shops, restaurants, and attractions.

It’s a scenic place to visit as the D&F Tower is a two-thirds replica of the Campanile of St. Marks in Venice, Italy, and when the sun goes down nearly one million lights twinkle from the trees standing along the promenade.

Nightfall also brings horse-drawn carriages and pedicabs that transport visitors up and down the mall, making for a fun experience, especially on date night.

Highlights include:

Honor Society – Honor Society offers a rustic atmosphere complete with unique light fixtures and flat screen televisions. Its motto is “Eat with Honor,” and the chefs make the meals from scratch daily using nutritious ingredients. In addition to serving healthy food, the restaurant also sponsors yoga and running groups to inspire a healthy way of living. Menu options include Natural Angus Bistro Steak, Cashew Caesar Salad, and Local Mushroom Pizza.

Tattered Cover – Established in 1971, Tattered Cover is one of the largest independent bookstores in the United States. It’s known for its exceptional customer service and large selection that offers books for just about everyone. The store also hosts prominent book signings throughout the year.

Denver Pavilions – Located in the heart of the mall, Denver Pavilions is a unique dining, shopping, and entertainment center that features more than two dozen shops and restaurants, twelve movie theaters, and a bowling alley.
