Encounter and Experience History at Highlands Ranch Mansion

Living the high life doesn’t always mean mansions and gardens—but there’s no reason why it can’t! Are you looking for large architecture, intricate decor, and a splash of history? For Lone Pine natives, one of the best ways to indulge in the finer things in life is to visit the Highlands Ranch Mansion.

This historic site is much more than a landmark, it’s an opportunity to experience the past face to face.

Experience The Mansion

The history of the Highlands Ranch Mansion begins back in 1884. The mansion sits on land originally purchased by Sam Allen Long. Sam worked hard to create a 2,000-acre farm and a stone house for his family. This stone farmhouse can still be found by the gardens on the mansion property to this day.

Today you’ll find a wide variety of historical buildings and homes on site—from barns and farmhouses to a working windmill. In 2012, the newly renovated mansion was revealed in a ceremony hosted by the Highlands Ranch Metro District. Visitors can rent the property for exclusive events or tour the facility for an authentic historic experience.
