Enjoy Year-Round Horseback Riding in Lone Tree

Are you looking for something different to do this weekend? Then enjoy a fun afternoon of horseback riding in Lone Tree. If this sounds good to you, visit one of these destinations near The Retreat at Park Meadows where you’re sure to spend a day to remember.

A Worthy Ranch & Stables

Nestled in the heart of Douglas County’s horse country, A Worthy Ranch offers a variety of scenic rides. It features views of the wide-open range to the south and the Rocky Mountains to the west. The stable is one of the state’s oldest working ranches and it specializes in enjoyment for all kinds of visitors. A Worthy Ranch and Stables offers guided trail rides throughout the year and the gentle horses welcome all abilities.

Chatfield Stables

Found at the foothills of the Rockies, Chatfield Stables spans thousands of acres. There are miles of forested and prairie trails, and with the Platte River running through the land, riders can even enjoy scenic water views. Many of the horses were raised at the stable since they were foals, so they have the temperament for every skill level. The guided trail rides last between one and five hours. Participants should wear loose-fitting jeans and boots or lace-up shoes.

Tall Horse Riding Club

Open to the public, the Tall Horse Riding Club offers group and private lessons. Owner Elizabeth Rabb is a Colorado native who has worked with horses for over 25 years. She strives to help students improve their skills and she emphasizes the relationship between rider and horse. They offer recreational lessons for the more casual riders, with a focus on riding, handling, and training the horses.

Before you get started, order a healthy, filling breakfast from one of these local restaurants. Horseback riding is just one of the outdoor activities that you can enjoy as a resident of our Lone Tree apartments. If you’re searching for a place to call home, please contact us. We would love for you to see our vibrant community firsthand.
